Map camera blind spots before monitoring Prepared 22 October 2026 by NightMarshal Map the route an intruder or authorized visitor could take and mark where each camera stops providing useful coverage. Record obstructions and privacy exclusions separately; overlap on a floor plan does not prove visibility at ground level. Instructions 1. Mark important access routes and assets. 2. Walk the routes under representative conditions. 3. Assign a remedy or accepted exclusion to each gap. Open the blank CSV in a spreadsheet app; add one row per item. Use Pending for unknowns and N/A only where a field truly does not apply. Review the separate example CSV; all example values are fictional. Keep completed sheets private. Do not include passwords, access codes, personal contacts, footage links or camera stream URLs. No input is collected by these downloads. Fields Route Expected view Obstruction Condition Remedy owner Accepted status Fictional example Fictional yard: two cameras both show the front of a stack, but neither sees the narrow path behind it. The map records one route gap despite overlapping camera fields on paper. Limits The worksheet is not a site security survey or a promise that every route can be monitored.
