Build a camera register for monitoring Prepared 22 October 2026 by NightMarshal A camera register connects a stable camera alias to the area, task, recorder, schedule and maintenance owner. Keep passwords and direct stream URLs in an approved secret store, outside this planning sheet. Instructions 1. Assign a unique alias to each view. 2. Record monitoring status separately from installation status. 3. Nominate an owner and review after site changes. Open the blank CSV in a spreadsheet app; add one row per item. Use Pending for unknowns and N/A only where a field truly does not apply. Review the separate example CSV; all example values are fictional. Keep completed sheets private. Do not include passwords, access codes, personal contacts, footage links or camera stream URLs. No input is collected by these downloads. Fields View alias Purpose Recorder alias Model and firmware Monitoring status Limitation Owner Fictional example Fictional row: GATE-NORTH-01 shows the vehicle entrance; a parked trailer obscures the pedestrian approach. The register marks that limitation pending a view adjustment. Limits The downloadable example contains fictional aliases. Do not publish a completed register or add credentials to it.
