The three common pricing models
Providers price remote video monitoring in one of three main ways. Per camera per month appears most often in the public figures we checked. Per event pricing charges for each alert or incident handled, which can suit quiet sites. Per hour pricing is used for live viewing of busy sites during set hours.
NightMarshal prices per site with a defined coverage band, because the work depends on the whole site. Camera workload, activity, review effort and response duties all change the effort involved.
Public figures published in 2026
These are third party figures as published by providers and checked on 18 October 2026. They are not NightMarshal prices and they are not a market average.
| Source | Published figure | Type |
|---|---|---|

Several large providers, including Pro-Vigil, ECAM, Eagle Eye Networks and Verkada, published no monitoring price on their websites when checked on 18 October 2026 and quote after an assessment.
What changes the total
- How many camera views are monitored and how busy they are
- Whether people review every alert or only uncertain ones
- Response duties such as speaker warnings or local response partners
- Setup, equipment, installation, connectivity and storage
- Contract length, notice and renewal terms
How to compare quotes fairly
Ask each provider for the full monthly cost of the same covered views and the same response plan, including setup spread over the term. Ask what happens when a camera goes offline, who reviews alerts and whether false alarms are charged.
